About the beach
Perfectly located in the heart of La Croisette and just 200m from the Palais des Festivals (home of the Cannes film festival), Belle Plage is the private beach that you do not want to pass up. Having a large stretch of sand on the Croisette, Belle Plage boasts the elusive combination of exclusivity and spaciousness. Its sun drenched sands and shaded terrace are the perfect places to let a long afternoon slip by, allowing all the stresses of daily life to simply melt away.
If you should decide to stray from the sandy shore of the Riviera, Cannes is a town alive with activity. The harbour is a great spot for people watching, as it’s not uncommon for the world’s most rich and famous to be docked within its walls. This private beach certainly accommodates this clintele.

Attractions nearby
Visitors should find their way to the Cannes Chateau in the old town, which has been converted into the ‘Musée de la Castre’. The museum hosts an incredibly diverse collection of artwork. For those interested, scaling the castle’s tower will reward the brave with an amazing view of the town and its bay. Continuing along the museum theme, there is also the ‘Musée de la Mer’ off the coast of Cannes, on the first of the Iles Lérins which hosts a unique and interesting set of exhibits – notably those devoted to the prison system and to the mysterious man in the iron mask.

Even when the Cannes Film Festival has long since switched off the projectors and reeled in the red carpet, there is a wealth of glitz and glamour to be soaked up from the official hosting site of the event.  The Palais des Festivals et des Congres is host to many other events throughout the year and you can ogle the handprints of celebrities cast into flagstones outside of the convention centre.

The chances are that if you have decided to visit Cannes, you intend to spend some money! Aside from the range of shops and boutiques on the Croisette, there are several streets throughout Cannes that are host to many of the more upmarket labels, it simply wouldn’t be right not to treat yourself to a little bit of Gucci or Armani every now and then, especially after a day on this private beach.

If your wallet isn’t entirely exhausted after a day out on the town in Cannes, you should seriously consider a trip to the Croisette Casino Barriere. The staff are renowned for their impeccable treatment of customers and there is plenty of space inside which generates a truly pressure-free atmosphere, perfect for even the most laid-back of gamblers. Be sure to bring along your passport as simple i.d will not suffice and dress to impress to ensure entry. An evening visit to this Casino can really round off what is sure to be an amazing trip to Cannes.

One of the other great opportunities available in Cannes is to rent a boat for a day and tour the beautiful coastline.
