About the beach
La Plage de Passable is situated on the picture perfect Riviera peninsula of St Jean Cap Ferrat. This area of the Côte d’Azur is renowned for its luxury villas and billionaire residents, but it still retains a unique traditional charm that some other resorts in the South of France have lost.
The private beach is like a little oasis, sheltered from the wind, and enjoying lovely views back towards the bay of Villefranche. It is fortunate enough to be bathed in sunshine for nearly the whole day, yet there are still plenty of shady spots for those wishing to escape the heat of the Mediterranean sunshine.
Guests can relax under a parasol next to the crystal-clear water, and let the friendly waiters bring an ice cold cocktail or a plate of fruit directly to their sunlounger. There is a full range of water sports on offer, as well as massages, yoga classes and exercises.

The nearby Greek Kerylos villa is perfectly positioned on the edge of the Saint Jean Cap Ferrat peninsula. Built during the ‘Belle Epoque’ period, it is a wonderful recreation of an ancient Greek villa. Set around a pretty courtyard, the stately rooms of this magnificent dwelling are home to a stunning collection of opulent furniture and wall decorations. There are also many frescoes depicting scenes from Greek mythology. The impeccably maintained Mediterranean gardens sit against the backdrop one of the most beautiful stretches of Riviera coastline.
Another luxurious abode to visit nearby, is the equally stunning, but totally contrasting Villa d’Ephrussi de Rothschild. The mansion, and its seven incredible gardens, provide a totally luxurious and memorable experience for visitors to the Côte d’Azur.
In the old port of St Jean Cap Ferrat, visitors will find the unique Musée des coquillages, home to over 4000 different varieties of seashell.
Diving can be arranged from the port, allowing visitors to profit from the excellent visibility and conditions in the water around the peninsula.
One of the other great opportunities available in Saint Jean Cap Ferrat is to rent a boat for a day and tour the beautiful coastline.
How to get there
By car: Take the Basse Corniche to Beaulieu sur Mer, and then follow signs to Cap Ferrat, then take Chemin de Passable which will lead you down to the beach. For more information please contact Easy Car Booking.
By bus: Bus number 81 from Nice stops near to Passable private beach.
By train: The nearest train station is quite far away, at Beaulieu sur Mer. It is a pretty, but long walk.
By boat: There is a private pontoon, so access by boat is possible.

Beach restaurant
The elegant beachside restaurant is a delightful spot to enjoy lunch or dinner. During the day, the menu focuses on light food and snacks with Mediterranean flavours. In the evening, it is a more gourmet experience, with unique dishes that exhibit Southern Italian influences. The produce is fresh and there is a very good wine list.
