The Maison Ocoa private beach is near to the old village of Ramatuelle. This beautiful perched settlement is set high above the Mediterranean sea of the St Tropez Peninsula. The reason this village was built so high up was for protection from pirates who once terrorised the Mediterranean.
Here you can visit the historic Church of Notre Dame which was built in the 16th Century. Visit the prison believed to be built by Napoleon III among many of the other stone buildings that’s are plotted along Ramatouelle’s narrow shady streets.
Near to Ramatouelle is another beautiful small village called Gassin. Just 3 km from Ramatuelle and not far from Maison Ocoa private beach, this lovely village has many historic sites such as its medieval terrace, the street called l’Androuno : said to be the smallest street in the world. After a long day of sunning yourself on the private beach of Ocoa why not visit the observation area of Gassin where you will find a magnificent view of Saint Tropez bay and the surrounding hills.
