About the private beach:
This glamorous private beach, set on the white sand next to the glitzy Cannes ‘Croisette’, is a great place to bask in the Riviera sunshine and soak up some of the exclusive South of France lifestyle. It is open all year round, and offers unbeatable views from its large comfy sunbeds out to the Lérins islands in the Mediterranean sea. Cannes is the glitz and glamour capital of the French Riviera. For years, wealthy, beautiful people have been flocking here in their masses, bringing their impressive yachts and bulging wallets with them. As a result, Cannes now has a selection of some of the finest fashion boutiques, and no visit here would be complete without a browse through the designer stores that line ‘La Croisette’. A walk around the water’s edge of the old port and Port Pierre Canto will bestow to the visitor a remarkable selection of ostentatious boats that have to be seen to be believed.
A wander up through the winding Rue Saint Antoine leads into the charming ‘Suquet’ area of the town. Here, in the old quarter, visitors will be able to choose from a wealth of delightful restaurants, squeezed in amongst the narrow cobbled streets. The clock tower and church at the top of the hill overlook the town and the inviting beaches in the bay of Cannes. At the bottom of the Suquet is the Marché Forville, which offers a huge array of some of the freshest and best food on the Riviera.
One of the other great opportunities available in Cannes is to rent a boat for a day and tour the beautiful coastline.
How to get there:
By car: Take the Cannes exit from the A8 motorway and follow signs for Cannes centre and the Palais des Festivals.
By bus: Cannes is served by numerous buses from most local towns.
By train: The main Cannes train station is central and has frequent connections with Nice, Monaco, Grasses and St Raphael. La Mandala beach, on La Croisette is a short walk away from the train station.
By Boat: this service is proposed by Easy Boat Booking. The boat will come and pick you up from your hotel and take you directly to this private beach. For more information please contact Easy Boat Booking.
The Restaurant La Mandala is renowned for its quality of food, offering the usual range of French gourmet classics and seafood dishes, as well as occasional Asian specialities. Its popular ‘Croisette’ location makes it a stylish and smart place to dine on a summer’s evening. However, this comes at a premium, with main courses ranging from €25 to €45. Clients hoping to save by ordering just a starter will be disappointed, as the house rule is that starters must be accompanied by a main course.
