About the beach
This luxury private beach is part of the splendid Tiara Miramar Beach Hotel, which enjoys a prime Riviera location between Cannes and St Tropez. Nestled between the striking red cliff faces of the Esterel Massif, the deep green hues of the surrounding forests and the turquoise blue of the Côte d’Azur water, the views from the beach club are a colourful feast for the senses. Every day from the middle of April until the middle of September, visitors can enjoy basking on one of the sun loungers laid out on a series of terraces that lead down to the crystal clear water. There is an excellent beach restaurant open for lunch all season, as well as during the evenings from June to September. The attached hotel offers a luxurious Thalassotherapy spa, which is open to beach visitors for an additional price.

Théoule sur Mer enjoys one of the most beautiful Riviera locations, as it benefits from stunning coastal views out towards Cannes and the Lérins islands, as well as a prime position at the heart of the Estérel forest park. As a result, there are some fantastic opportunities nearby for outdoor pursuits, with many designated hiking and mountain biking trails in the surrounding countryside.
The diversity of marine life and the crystal clear waters on this stretch of the Côte d’Azur have spawned the growth of underwater activities, and diving is a popular pastime in the area. The local dive schools offer a full range of courses for all abilities. Théoule sur Mer also offers an ‘underwater path’ that has been marked out by a series of buoys as a way for snorkelers to make the most of the rich variety of creatures that exist in the water here.
The nearby Miramar Crouesty hotel is home to one of the most famous Thalassotherapy centres in France. This form of well-being treatment uses sea water, salts and sea weed to cleanse, purify and repair the skin, and is an extremely relaxing way to spend an afternoon on the Riviera.
Théoule sur Mer is a mere three stops by train away from Cannes, the glitz and glamour capital of the South of France. The iconic town offers a wealth of designer shops, charming restaurants and vibrant bars for the visitor to choose from.
How to get there
By car: Either take the RN 98 (coastal road) that runs from Cannes to St Raphael. Or take exit 40 from the A8 motorway for Mandelieu, then follow directions for Théoule – Miramar.
By bus: Take bus number 26 from Nice airport, or bus number 620 from Cannes station.
By train: The nearest mainline train station is in Cannes. From there, there are connections to the station at Théoule sur Mer.

Le Bistrot de la Plage Red Roc is situated on the beach, and serves a delicious range of dishes, including barbecued meat, fresh fish, bruschettas and pizzas. They are open daily for lunch from April to September, while dinner is served between June and September. In July and August, on Saturdays, they hold themed evenings with different cuisines from around the world. The Mirimar beach hotel also has a more upmarket restaurant, called Les Etoiles de Mers, which serves a gastronomic selection of delicacies, and offers unparalleled panoramic views to the diners.
