Private beach  - Cannes


Cannes is the glitz and glamour capital of the French Riviera. Known for its superb sandy beaches, its high class fashion boutiques, its classy restaurants and its star-studded film festival, Cannes is a must-see destination in the South of France. ‘La Croisette’ is the main beachfront strip of Cannes, and is home to smart designer shops and elegant hotels. The old town is known as ‘Le Suquet’, and has a series of charming narrow cobbled streets, where cosy restaurants entice passers-by. The clock tower at the top of the hill in Le Suquet has excellent views over the town and its beaches. At the bottom of the Suquet is the Marché Forville, which offers a huge array of some of the freshest and best food on the Riviera. Port Pierre Canto is at the far end of la Croisette, and accommodates some of the most flamboyant yachts on the Cote d’Azur.
 
From Cannes visit the tropical Lérins islands, which are easily reached by boat from the port. These Mediterranean islands are steeped in history, and boast some fantastic walking tracks where rare plants and migratory birds can be spotted.
