Private beach - Cagnes sur Mer
Cagnes sur Mer is situated in the heart of the French Riviera, next to Nice. The town is made up of three main areas- the seafront area of Cagnes sur Mer, where the beaches; picturesque port and waterside restaurants are found; the central town area of Cagnes Ville; and the stunning medieval village of Haut-de Cagnes, which sits perched up on a hill overlooking the Cote d’Azur.
The beaches in Cagnes sur Mer have lovely swimming and snorkeling conditions and is very popular with families. Cagnes sur Mer has more of a French feel to it than some of the other coastal towns on the Cote d’Azur, and is frequented by locals and tourists alike.
Cagnes sur Mer was home to the artist, Renoir, who gained inspiration for his work from the stunning beaches and the surrounding Riviera countryside. The town still has original pieces of his art displayed in the Renoir museum.
